Lexicon Brand Manager Lauren Hoffmann hosts another edition of The LeXFactor Briefs, looking at what’s making news in the legal industry. In this episode, Lauren is joined by co-host Brad Paubel, Lexicon’s chief information officer, in discussing recent legal industry survey results depicting the amount of back-office work law firms are outsourcing.
Law firms have become increasingly open to outsourcing back-office staff over the last 12 months as the COVID-19 pandemic has already conditioned them to having work done off-site and prompted a reassessment of their real estate needs. Findings published from a recent legal industry survey indicates anywhere from 81%-90% of law firms have third parties delivering some portion of in-office services and operations on a daily basis. Ultimately, more than a simple majority of respondents also anticipate that the post-COVID-19 workplace model will most significantly impact costs.
