Lexicon CEO Scott Brennan was recently quoted in a Legal Management article about the changes the business side of the legal industry has experienced over the last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Like the rest of the world, the legal world has been forced to adapt on the fly to a rapidly changing working environment. The article notes that all firms, regardless of their size, have been forced to embrace technology more than every before. There are also unique challenges as it pertains the staff management.

Moreover, courts have moved to virtual hearings, and even some trials are now being held virtually. That adds an entirely new dynamic to trial preparation and presentation.

“Now, attorneys have to prepare their clients and witnesses to act and present themselves in a respectful manner sitting behind a keyboard and monitor as if they were in an actual courtroom,” Brennan said.
